About Us

I visited my local careers office in Guildford with the intention of becoming an engineer only to be shepherded into the world of financial services, as were many of my generation who grew up in the 1960s.

My career began at Eagle Star before running two local brokers in my late teens.  In launching CCS Insurance Services Limited in March 1972, although in essence the business provided insurance products, the three rocks on which the business was established were long-term client and provider relationships, commitment to the local community and the promotion and payment of employees based on their talent and not their gender.

The ethos of my business is that if you love what you do with your life then you never do a day’s work and that is how I feel to this day.  

My commitment to the local community has allowed me to be active at Woking Football Club followed by a decade at Woking Chamber of Trade and Commerce including two years as President, four years as a local Woking Councillor and a stint at Woking Rotary Club including a year as President.  

My outside interests include a love of nature, Rugby Union, gardening, and dancing.  However, the best time of my life is spent in the company of my adorable wife, Monique. 

After wanting a change from the retail and beauty industry, I joined CCS Financial Services Limited as Personal Assistant and Administrator to Financial Adviser and Managing Director, John Liverton, in September 2001.  I first met John when I approached him for a mortgage earlier that year and was pretty much offered a job there and then.

My role is to ensure that each case goes through as quickly and smoothly as possible making sure that all documentation meets the FCA’s compliance regulations.  Over the past 20+ years, John and I have developed a real partnership which I feel is a benefit to our clients, particularly when we help them to negotiate financial and emotional problems.

Outside work, I enjoy painting, baking, cake decorating, gardening, and spending time with my family.
